FAQs
SkinPen®, the only microneedling device offered by medical professionals, is a medical-grade, state-of-the-art microneedling device. Depending on your skin condition, treatments typically take only about 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
The SkinPen® offers variable needle depth, making it suitable for many body areas, including the face, neck, and décolletage.
Prior to treatment, topical anesthesia is applied. Your SkinPen® will vibrate slightly during treatment.
Several weeks after treatment, the skin continues to heal. Any accumulated damage may take longer to heal. The final result of your treatment may not be noticeable for six months after it is completed. Results may vary from person to person.
The number of procedures required will vary depending on your specific goals and your skin condition. The average patient undergoes three treatments four weeks apart.
Patients usually heal at different rates depending on their individual circumstances. Patients may experience redness, swelling, and pinkness (like a minor sunburn) following microneedling for two to four days. This usually disappears within 24 hours.
